Marc Varadi B. Ing. President
A 2001 graduate of McGill University in engineering, Marc Varadi is a seasoned and self-motivated entrepreneur driven by his passion for new development. Over the last 20 years, Marc has gained extensive know-how and expertise in the fields of construction, design, development of new hotels, marketing, as well as hotel and real estate management.
His achievements have been underlined, recognized and honored, most recently by being invited to join the advisory committee of the AC Marriott brand and Moxy Marriott brands. As well as having won the prestigious Marriott Award for hotel developer of the year in 2022 for North America
A natural pivoter towards trends, continuously on the lookout for new business opportunities, Marc is characterized by his vision and leading RIMAP Hospitality Services and its team to new summits.
Louis Secondo Vice-President Operations
Louis is a career hotelier with over 35 years of hotel management experience who currently leads the operations of our hotels. He has accumulated extensive knowledge of the hotel industry serving as General Manager for over 20 years in major branded properties such as Marriott, Hilton and IHG. He was a founding partner of CANVAR Hospitality (2007), today RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc.
His in-depth knowledge of hotel operations has developed into a proven track record, resulting in numerous guest service awards and new opening hotel awards. His ability to exceed market revenue, control costs and provide favorable return on investment were all instrumental to the company’s development in the hotel sector.
His involvement is notable in assisting architect and design teams, construction project managers and ownership in development and expansion as the company’s portfolio continues to expand in both Montreal and Ottawa.
Charles Laley Vice President Sales, Marketing & Revenue
Charles is an accomplished hospitality industry leader with over 20 years of experience in driving profitability and market share.
Charles earned a Hospitality Management degree at Vatel institute in France and a Sales and Marketing MBA. Prior to the position of VP Sales, Marketing and Revenue for RIMAP hospitality, Charles held several positions as Director of Sales and Marketing for an independent hotel chain in Europe and various branded hotels in downtown Montreal.
He is known for his expertise of opening new hotels and hotel conversions. He has strong management skills and a successful vision of profitable market segments and strategies that drives growth and profitability. He specializes in revenue management and has always brought our hotels to market share leaders in their respective competitive set.
Myla Tarasenko Regional Director, Human Resources
Myla has over fifteen years of experience as a manager and business partner in human resources management. With a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Languages, she was able to develop and broaden her knowledge in human resources management. A highly skilled human resources professional with strategic and operational experience in complex, multicultural and changing environments within the information technology and consulting sectors.
As a human resources generalist, she has participated in the development and implementation of various HR projects within her jobs. His great knowledge of labour laws has allowed her to stand out and bring forth stimulating and mobilizing projects.
She is recognized for her ability to quickly grasp organizational issues as well as her ability to work in multifunctional teams. Her human approach, her listening, her business thinking and her availability make her an efficient, reliable and respected person within the company.
Stéphane Pelletier Regional General Manager, Ottawa
Stéphane, a seasoned hotelier with 25 years of hospitality industry experience, has worked in senior leadership roles as General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing across Canada. His career path includes tenures with prestigious brands such as Fairmont, Delta, Westin, Crowne Plaza, Hilton, and Marriott.
As Regional General Manager, he leads RIMAP’s premium hotel collection in Canada’s Nation’s capital. He is recognized as a dependable advocate for the tourism industry and is driven by engagement, guest experience and market share performance.
He is actively involved with the local hotel association and tourism bureau to promote Ottawa as the destination of choice for both leisure travel and international conferences and events.
Stéphane completed the Advanced Management Hospitality Program at Guelph University and studied Business Administration at the Collège de l’Outaouais. He was also a member of the teaching faculty at the School of Hospitality and Tourism at Algonquin College.
Fabio Mannarino, CPA Vice President of Finance
Fabio has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting from The John Molson School of Business. Upon the completion of his undergraduate studies at Concordia University, he pursued his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) accreditation and has been a member of the Order des comptables professionels agréées du Québec since 2021.
He began his career with Rimap Hospitality in 2018 and was an integral member of the team responsible for the opening of the first AC Marriott in Canada. As the Assistant Controller, he quickly applied what he had learned in school while acquiring a vast knowledge of field experience within the hotel industry. After only a few years, he has held a number of positions with increasing accountability. In his current role as Assistant Regional Controller, he has contributed to the implementation of a centralized accounting team and developed an internal audit process. that ensures the standardization of accounting procedures. In addition, he is responsible for the accounting of multiple residential properties by preparing and reviewing key financial information for senior management.
Lucie Phoenix Corporate Controller
Lucie brings over 25 year of experience in the hotel industry including a significant expertise in Internal Auditing.
She travelled across Canada for 7 years as an Internal Auditor for various hotel management companies. She developped an expertise at coaching and teaching the best practices of accounting procedures in a centralized environment of the hospitality industry.
Prior to being an Internal Auditor she acquired extensive experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry. Her excellent understanding of Hotel operations came from occupying numerous positions such as Front Desk Representative, Night Auditor, Revenue Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Human Resources.
Frank DiGiovanni Regional Director Food & Beverage
Francesco is an experienced individual with 30 years of accomplishments in the hospitality and food and beverage industry.
With a combined education in business and hospitality and an extensive career emphasizing in business operations, he has gained knowledge in revitalizing businesses and their profitability by engaging himself in all aspects of the organization from finance, negotiations, business development, construction, sales and marketing and in his previous roles as Director and VP operations, he has a proven track record with brands such as Cara, Six Flags, Sysco Foods, Foodtastic, and his own restaurants.
He is highly customer-centric and known for having strong management principles, exemplary relationship building and successful leadership proficiencies, he brings creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
James Roy Directeur régional Nourriture et Boissons
James est un directeur nourriture et boissons de carrière avec plus de 50 ans d'expérience dans le domaine. Présentement, il prête son expertise aux hôtels du groupe RIMAP deux jours par semaine. Ses connaissances approfondies des opérations lui viennent de son travail dans plusieurs hôtels de marque comme Marriott, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Radisson et Hyatt Regency.
Troy Hughes Regional Controller
Troy Hughes is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of distinguished experience in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Regional Controller for RIMAP Hospitality – Ottawa, Troy's career is marked by a hands-on leadership style that prioritizes teamwork, relationship-building, and operational excellence. Throughout his extensive career, Troy has held pivotal roles, including Director of Finance at several renowned Canadian hotels. In these capacities, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to implement innovative financial systems, enhance reporting processes, and improve team cohesion. His pragmatic approach to finance and operations has led to significant improvements in financial literacy and operational efficiency within the organizations he has served.
